“There are many benefits of hiring a person like Wilson. He comes from a solid hockey background, playing at the collegiate level, and also working his way up through different ranks of coaching. His desire to help develop Minnesota student-athletes, through their education and on and off ice programming, makes him an exceptional addition to our team,” said Director & Head of Hockey TPH Minnesota, Matt Cooke.”

Housley, a native of Stillwater, Minnesota prides himself in bringing passion to the rink each day, with high energy and a focus on getting better for the future. This same standard will be exemplified by Housley, at the Minnesota CoE as he concentrates his efforts on maximizing the development of all individuals, as players, athletes, students, and people.

“It’s my goal that every kid who commits to our TPH Minnesota location drastically improves in all areas. Whether that be in their education through our online platform of Edmentum, physically getting stronger, or mentally understanding the situations on and off the ice, and learning from them,” said Housley.

As a son of a coach, he has grown up in a rich hockey household, where he has benefited from family knowledge. His father, Phil Housley, is one of the most prolific scoring defensemen in NHL history, an NHL Hall of Fame player, and the current assistant coach for the Arizona Coyotes of the NHL. As the tradition of coaching has continued, Housley has held positions with the Thief River Falls Norskies of the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL) as Head Coach, Assistant GM & Director of Player Personnel.
